In Khôra, Astrid Boons philosophizes about a posthuman world and the social dissolution we are experiencing. Posthuman because the space for the body is becoming smaller and smaller in this future. What effects does this denial of our lived bodily experience have? And what does this mean for our sense of being human?

How can we reclaim our humanity?

In today's digital age, we are increasingly turning to a future where technology takes the lead. Technological advances are supposed to make life easier, but practice shows us that technology is controlling our lives.

In Khôra, Astrid Boons philosophizes about a posthuman world and the social disintegration we are experiencing. Posthuman because we are increasingly moving towards a future in which technology takes over. And dissolution because the space for the body in this future is becoming ever smaller. What are the implications of this denial of our lived bodily experience? And what does it mean for our sense of being human? In Khôra, her most ambitious production to date, Astrid Boons attempts to answer these questions. Five performers explore different possibilities of embodiment and search for ways to re-anchor ourselves in our humanity.
