The world's largest hand-crocheted mammoth stands among 25,000 objects from the collection. A varied family program with creative activities, hands-on stations and special Ice Age moments will unfold around the woolly giant on International Museum Day in the Ruhr Museum's Schaudepot.
On International Museum Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the permanent exhibition and the two special exhibitions - about life in the Ice Age and How to live - where to live. Documentary photographs by Brigitte Kraemer - will be open in the coal washing plant and can be visited free of charge.
