Sommerfest - mit Kindertrödel

On Sunday, July 12, 2026, the balou youth art school invites you to its big summer festival in Dortmund - Free admission. From 11 a.m., visitors can look forward to a varied family program with ballet, acrobatics, dance and street dance. The summer festival is one of the highlights of the year, where children and young people present their artistic skills on stage.

In addition to the performances, creative hands-on workshops and numerous activities ensure a varied experience for young and old. At the information stand, the balou team will provide information about current courses and offers. The café balou offers coffee, cool drinks, grilled sausages, ice cream and fresh waffles.

Children's flea market - by children for children
A special highlight is the children's flea market, where children can sell their toys, books and treasures. A maximum area of 1.50 x 1.50 meters is available for each child. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required as space is limited. Please note: The flea market is exclusively for children. REGISTRATION

The summer festival also marks the start of the "HellwegSommer 2026" vacation program.

Note: In case of heavy rain, the performances will be moved indoors. In this case, the hands-on activities and the children's jumble sale will be canceled.
