Sommerfest zum 10. Jubiläum

In the organizer's words:

A home for literature: The Literaturhaus Dortmund has been located in the Kreuzviertel district for almost exactly ten years, as the premises at Neuer Graben 78 were officially opened on June 26 and 27, 2014. Since then, a variety of readings, workshops and writing workshops have ensured that literary creators and the reading-savvy public feel right at home there.

Naturally, this is being celebrated: In addition to a small series of readings to mark the anniversary in the second half of the year, the team at the house is hosting a summer party on Wednesday, June 26, from 5:00 pm. The toast will be made with fruity strawberry punch to match the red Literaturhaus logo.

Whether in the garden, at the bar or in the event room - everyone is cordially invited to join in the hustle and bustle and chat over snacks and drinks. Music is provided by the turntable and the in-house DJ collective Gift und Galle.

You can even hit the keys yourself at the infamous Literaturhaus typewriter, which is open to everyone on this day to send congratulations, lyrics or poetry.

And just like at the opening ten years ago, text and words will be heard at the Open Mic from 7 pm. There, authors can present their own short texts to the audience.

Whether old literary hands, new faces or neighbors: the Literaturhaus team is looking forward to a summery anniversary celebration with everyone who finds their way to Neuer Graben 78 on this day!
