On June 30, 2026, it’s all about: SUMMER ISLAND for EVERYONE!

We’ve reached the halfway point of our Summer Island concert series—the perfect occasion to celebrate the midpoint of the festival with you at Insel der Jugend. Look forward to a diverse evening of open-air concerts featuring three exciting live acts: Kid Dad, ANNA YUNA, and IMMER WIEDER WIRSING.

Admission is free. If you’d like to support the project and the performing artists, we’d of course appreciate a voluntary donation.

If you’d like to play it safe, you can secure a supporter ticket for €10 via Rausgegangen, which guarantees you entry. As a small token of our appreciation, all guests with an advance ticket will receive a drink voucher at the entrance for a beverage of their choice (excluding spirits, long drinks, and cocktails).

Kid Dad are back: With a fresh sound, a new look, and a firm commitment to doing everything themselves again, Bene (guitar, vocals), Max (bass, synths, backing vocals), and Michi (drums, backing vocals) are returning to their DIY roots.

The indie rock band from Berlin and Paderborn can look back on three successful releases and international recognition. Tours with Fatherson, Razz, and Taking Back Sunday, as well as appearances at festivals like Fusion and Rocken am Brocken, have firmly established kid dad in the alternative music scene.

2026 marks a new chapter: Their sound has become more colorful, open, and experimental, without losing its post-punk-emo vibe. Lyrically, the band remains focused on the big themes: identity, self-doubt, personal upheavals, and the question of one’s place in the world. These are themes that have always accompanied them and continue to resonate with an entire generation.

ANNA YUNA wants to change a lot and let go of quite a few things. Somewhere between quiet world-weariness, the blurry lights on the way home at four in the morning, and a newfound lightness in the midst of the Berlin summer. It’s about the process of finding your way back to yourself—without any compromises. Her dark electronic pop sound and pure vocal tone leave room for emotion—sometimes honestly loud, and sometimes gently quiet.

With her debut single “panikwach,” the 28-year-old newcomer already drew attention with her sensitive lyricism and her very own sound—a blend of swirling basslines and soulful melodies. With her special knack for lyrics and her haunting voice, ANNA YUNA had already touched hundreds of thousands of people with her series “Forgotten Texts from My Notes” even before releasing a single song.

On her latest single “Unfair,” the Berlin-based artist impressively demonstrates her ability to transform the emotions of her generation into powerful songs—both lyrically and musically.

IMMER WIEDER WIRSING from Zurich feels like the desperate search for meaning by lost souls on the dance floor at 4:00 a.m. The beat is heavy, the guitars, synths, and bass drive the track forward, while the lyrics sing of insecurities, broken relationships, and toxic behavior patterns. Peering into this abyss is dangerously fun, and with its brutal uncompromising nature, it strikes the attentive listener right in the heart of their frenzied shoegazing.
