When the sky slowly changes color and warm summer evenings become the stage for special moments, the best time of the year for cinema fans begins: the Cineplex SOMMERNACHTSKINO returns.

Against the breathtaking backdrop of the over 800-year-old Veste Oberhaus - one of the largest preserved castle complexes in Europe - a colorful film program of current blockbusters and timeless classics awaits you from 30 July to 10 August. Every evening will be a highlight on our specially purchased, inflatable airscreen screen and with state-of-the-art projection technology.

This summer, the Veste Oberhaus will once again be transformed into a very special open-air cinema. Surrounded by historic walls, high above the rooftops of the city, visitors can expect a unique combination of great cinema, balmy summer nights and an atmospheric ambience. Whether it's a Bavarian cult comedy, a rousing musical or a romantic classic - the varied program offers something to suit every taste.

Admission, tickets and weather information:
Advance tickets are available online at www.cineplex-passau.de and at the box offices in the Cineplex and ProLi. The Box Office in the outer courtyard of the Veste Oberhaus is open from 8 pm. In case of rain, rain ponchos can be purchased on site at cost price. In the event of heavy rain, storms or thunderstorms, the Summer Night Cinema will not take place, in which case the ticket price will be automatically refunded.
