Sommertheater Neubiberg "unterm Sternenhimmel". Komödie von Nikolai Gogol: Der Revisor

A small Russian town is in turmoil: an auditor is rumored to be coming - incognito. The town mayor and his officials are preparing to present their provincial town in the best possible light - and to conceal the whole web of corruption and nepotism as best they can.

A young traveler at the inn is acting suspiciously. It must be him. Accordingly, he is visited, courted and showered with favors. The rouble rolls. He even wants to marry the town governor's daughter - too good to be true. A comedy of mistaken identities unfolds, in which everyone is dirty, but in whose colourful round dance there is also the chance to recognize and laugh at oneself.

The "Grüne Bühne" ensemble was founded in 2024. It consists of all long-standing members of the Munich Summer Theater in the English Garden. They perform timeless comedies with music and a lot of love for human weaknesses. The name of the young ensemble says it all in two respects: the main venue is the summer green amphitheatre in the English Garden and at the same time the participants want to make their productions as sustainable as possible.
