Sommerwochen im Theodor-Heuss-Haus

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

Summer, sun, sunshine—peace and quiet at the Theodor-Heuss-Haus

During the summer months, visitors to the Theodor-Heuss-Haus enjoy free admission to the entire building. For a cool refreshment after the climb, the cafeteria offers free drinks from the vending machine and a free ice cream for young visitors.

We’ve also got you covered on gray, rainy days. In addition to (historical) board games in the cafeteria, there are books to browse through on our panoramic staircase.

You can explore our exhibitions “Democracy as a Way of Life, No. 1 – The Head of State ” and the “HeussLab – Tacheles” in any weather.

For children, there’s the “Kinderspur” tour, which lets them explore the Theodor Heuss House.

Program:

Once a week, we offer a fun, summery arts-and-crafts activity for young visitors ages 4 and up. Please register by emailing besucherservice@theodor-heuss-haus.de—space is limited.

Every Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

August 6 – Stamps

A stamp is more than just a small piece of paper! It features works of art and memories and travels on letters and postcards. After a short exploration of the permanent exhibition, we’ll make cards and fantasy stamps.

August 13 – Leporello

The first Federal President, Theodor Heuss, loved to read and write books. A typewriter, fountain pen, stamp, and colored pencils are on display in the permanent exhibition! You’ll need these to make beautiful Leporellos.

August 20 – Mouse in a Cube

The little mouse is at the Theodor Heuss House today! Where could she be hiding? Inspired by the “Fundamental Rights” cubes in the permanent exhibition, we’ll make smaller cubes and a little mouse.

August 27 – Pictures and Frames

Theodor Heuss, the first Federal President, enjoyed painting and drawing. He was also photographed and painted by others. To display beautiful photos and paintings, you need frames. We’ll make a stylish frame and let our imaginations run wild.
