Roman women had a far greater influence on antiquity than their official status would suggest. This guided tour takes participants on a journey from the mythical beginnings of Rome to the political reality of the imperial era. The focus is on women who made history through courage, education, diplomacy or economic influence. The guided tour through the Roman Museum and the Archaeological Outdoor Trail shows how Roman women - despite their limited rights - provided decisive impetus for politics, culture and social structures and thus left behind a multifaceted image of female strength in antiquity.
