The Ides Of March — Italian Iron Maiden Tribute Band 

An energetic tribute project from Milan is taking the European metal scene by storm.

The Ides Of March is a passionate and dynamic Iron Maiden tribute band founded in Milan, Italy, in 2019. Initiated by singer Ivan Russo out of a deep connection to Iron Maiden, the band was formed with the goal of authentically presenting the music and energy of the British metal legend and sharing that same enthusiasm with fans in northern Italy and beyond. The band’s name pays homage to the title track “The Ides of March” from Iron Maiden’s album *Killers*, as well as to the band’s founding date, March 15, 2019—the historic “Ides of March.” 

International Recognition 

The year 2023 marked the band’s transition to the international stage: They performed for the first time in Switzerland and Germany, where they were enthusiastically received by the audience. Particularly noteworthy was the concert on September 30, 2023, at Rock on the Road in Desio, which featured two very special guests: Linda Harris (sister of Steve Harris) and Mimi Burr (wife of legendary drummer Clive Burr). 

In 2024, the band reached another milestone: They performed on March 15, 2024, at Cart & Horses—the “Birthplace of Iron Maiden” in London (UK)—as the only active Italian Iron Maiden tribute band to date to be featured in the official lineup of this legendary venue. Also in 2024, the fan club was officially founded, and the band gained new musical momentum with the addition of Dario Bonzani (playing the role of Adrian Smith).
