Do you remember that one meal from your childhood? The dish you wanted for your birthday? All families have food that promotes togetherness and shapes the way we live together. Food is love! And there are also stories to tell about this favorite family meal. Artistic Director Lars Tietje and the four actors in the JUB ensemble have rummaged through memories and brought one or two specialties to light. Fish sommelier Florian Zerbst ensures that the dishes are a little more elegant than we remember, making it an evening full of nostalgic stories, comforting emotions and surprisingly different delights.

In the theater cooking show Soulfood, actresses, singers, authors or directors bring a multi-course menu with their favorite recipes from home, cook live with a chef and talk to our hosts about where they got the recipes from and what they are currently doing in their work for the Stadttheater Bremerhaven.

Meanwhile, the kitchen crew from the Fischkochstudio prepares this menu as a buffet so that everyone can move into the mess hall immediately after the show to round off the evening with a delicious dinner. A welcome side-effect is the relaxed conversations at the tables of eight and the chance to talk to people you've just met that evening.
