Jazzpop-Choir Tübingen & Senior Jazz Choir

On this evening, the JazzPop Choir of the Tübingen University of Church Music and the Senior Jazz Choir - an offshoot of the Freiburg Jazz Choir - meet. Both choirs are directed by Julian Knörzer, feel at home in pop/jazz and yet bring very different, complementary timbres to the table.
While the JazzPop Choir is dedicated to a cappella pop music, the Senior Jazz Choir (2nd place in the German Choir Competition 2023) sings vocal jazz with band accompaniment. "Soulfood to go" takes the audience into the musical home of the two choirs and shows what vocal sounds can achieve. With a diverse program of traditional melodies, modern arrangements and moving compositions, the singers invite you to experience vocal soul food with all your senses.
