Fifth edition of the solidarity concerts

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the Sound of Solidarity initiative invites you to the fifth edition of its Soli concert series at the Oetinger Villa Darmstadt. From 4 pm, everyone is cordially invited to join us for a summery open-air festival with live music, cool drinks and various stalls. From 7 p.m., the party will continue in the Villa's concert hall - with loud music, political content and an evening of solidarity and encounters.

This year, we have chosen Bündnis widersetzen Darmstadt as the recipient of the donations. The nationwide alliance stands for solidarity, cohesion and social coexistence in which everyone has a place - regardless of where they were born, who they love or what they look like. In times of an increasing shift to the right and social division, widersetzen sends a clear signal against exclusion, racism and anti-democratic developments.

Musically, the audience can expect a varied line-up of three bands and a solo artist:

Julakim will kick off the open air summer festival with her acoustic guitar from 5 pm.

Couraged will continue in the concert hall from 7 pm. Founded in 2024, the band stands for uncompromising melodic metalcore with depth. The quintet combines melancholic melodies with raw energy to create a sound that gets under your skin in an honest, powerful and thrilling way.

XO Armor, who have been pushing the boundaries of metalcore since 2021, then take over. The quartet combines metalcore with influences from trap, techno and pop, creating a hybrid sound that oscillates musically and visually between high fashion and dystopian streetwear.

The evening closes with Waves Like Walls, who have stood for energetic melodic hardcore with a clear attitude since 2012. Heavy riffs, driving drums and honest lyrics about loss, change and self-determination make their live shows intense, authentic and direct.

Admission is on a donation basis with a starting price of 13 euros; for students from 10 euros on presentation of their student ID.
