In "Sound of Violence", four dancers on stage in three acts describe the various layers of domestic violence and harmful relationship patterns from an abstract and internal perspective.
Slaps clap, punches thud. These sounds are unmistakable
these sounds in our ears. But what does a punch sound like before the impact? The piece "Sound of Violence" by GingerPack Contemporary Dance answers this question.
It deals with the structure of abusive relationships and the feeling of insecurity in one's own home. In a deeply moving analysis, behavioral patterns within toxic relationship constellations are uncovered. Accompanied by a physical confrontation with movements and noises through the use of motion capture technology, "Sound of Violence" clarifies in three acts the facets that domestic violence can take on, especially internally.
It is intended as a reminder that violence does not begin with a bruise on the skin.
