The short film shows that cities are not only built, but also felt. The film combines science and cinematic art and makes visible how our everyday life shapes urban space - and invites discussion about urban life.

The 30-minute docufiction "Space in Spotlight" invites the audience to see the city anew - as a living space shaped by emotions, encounters and invisible social forces. The film interweaves documentary and fictional elements and uses the personal stories of four city dwellers to tell how movement, routines and perceptions shape our everyday lives and urban coexistence. Cassandra guides us through the film as an acting mediator, translating scientific geographic findings into an understandable, emotional language and thus opening up new approaches to the topic of the city.

Developed from geographical urban research, "Space in Spotlight" makes visible how we shape our perception of space through social norms, belonging and uncertainty. After the screening, everyone is invited to join the production team to discuss the questions raised in the film - about our understanding of the city, the emotions we experience and what really defines our spaces.

Due to the limited number of seats, tickets can be reserved in advance. We only ask for a solidarity payment to cover costs on site - all surpluses will be donated.
