Julian Hetzel and Ntando Cele present a business model: SPAfrica, the first "empathy drink", is exported from Africa to Europe. Europeans collect their tears of compassion and let them rain down on Africa. An exchange of water for tears and tears for water, of natural resources for emotional resources.

The theater performance poses highly topical questions: Can compassion make a difference or does it only reinforce existing economic power relations? Are morality and trauma really more than capital in economic and political competition? Just as in art in the struggle for promotion and attention?

Europe and Africa, ethics and economics, morality and business, trauma and dream. Julian Hetzel, a German from the Netherlands, and Ntando Cele, who comes from South Africa, play with models of exploitation, empathy and whitewashing. They let the contradictions in the debates about (neo-)colonialism, guilt and diversity collide in an intense and highly entertaining show.

Ntando Cele is a brilliant performer, singer and rapper. Together with theater maker Julian Hetzel, she creates the best political theater in which the two put themselves and their identities on the line.
