Special screening of the documentary "JENSEITS VON SCHULD" by Katharina Köster and Katrin Nemec.
In attendance and followed by a discussion with Dr. Claus-Peter Lorenzen, judge at the local court.
JENSEITS VON SCHULD tells the story of Ulla and Didi, who have tried to bring up their son with love and reason. Nothing in their lives indicated that their son would one day become a murderer. The nurse, who went down in criminal history for injecting hospital patients to their deaths over a period of years, is serving a life sentence. From one day to the next, the guilt of their son has befallen Ulla and Didi and since then their lives have been inextricably linked to these deeds. Even years later, questions are still revolving in their heads because no answer is enough to bring them peace. And they are also reminded from the outside: there is another trial, again everything is in the news and newspapers, whole TV series are made about their son. In addition, dealing with their son is not easy - they have decided not to let him go. But can they trust him? Ulla and Didi have learned to cope with this extreme tension in their everyday lives. And they learn it again and again. Maybe they never really learn. But they face up to it and push themselves to their limits, as human beings, as parents and as a couple.
