German cinema can also be like this: an unembellished, harsh but always humanistic look at life in the low-wage sector.

Heike (59) works as a facility manager in building cleaning and mediates between customers, management and cleaning staff on a daily basis. After she tried to poach an unofficial worker from an important subcontractor against the rules, the subcontractor threatened to stop providing support unless he received more hours and turnover. In order to meet these demands, Heike finds herself increasingly caught between her responsibility to her own employees and the conditions of the low-wage sector.
