Masha, a Belarusian model, dreams of a career in China. Misha works in a Minsk mortuary and brings the dead to life in his oil paintings. The two outsiders are attracted to each other in an unusual way and roam the warm summer nights together. Misha opens up an unknown world to Masha that puts her sense of beauty and mortality to the test. WHITE SNAIL is the fragile love story of two outsiders who realize that they are not alone in the world.

The film "White Snail" won over audiences at two major festivals and was awarded top prizes. At the Locarno Film Festival in the International Competition, it received both the Special Jury Prize and the Pardo for Best Performance. The Sarajevo Film Festival also honored the film in the Feature Film Competition with the CICAE jury's Arthouse Cinema Award.
