Special screening of the feature film "White Snail" by Elsa Kremser & Levin Peter.

Following their acclaimed documentaries Space Dogs (2019) and Dreaming Dogs (2024) - both of which were shown in our cinema - White Snail is the first feature film by directing duo Elsa Kremser and Levin Peter, which premiered at last year's Locarno Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Prize and the Acting Award for the two leading actors. We are delighted that Levin Peter will be presenting the new film in person at the Wolf for its theatrical release.

Masha, a Belarusian model, dreams of a career in China. Misha works in a Minsk mortuary and brings the dead to life in his oil paintings. The two outsiders are attracted to each other in an unusual way and roam the warm summer nights together. Misha opens up an unknown world to Masha that puts her sense of beauty and mortality to the test. White Snail is the fragile love story of two outsiders who realize that they are not alone in the world.

A turning point in the lives of two young people in Belarus - a moment of resistance against stigmatization and exclusion. Open questions emerge about a future that still lies in the haze of sultry summer nights. (Elsa Kremser, Levin Peter)
