Splash! Boom! Bang! Arschbomben-Contest und Parkour-Sommerfest

The ass bomb contest in the city's most beautiful pool is all about the perfect jump into the cool water. A jury will decide who has the most beautiful assault.

Now it's time to make waves again! Because you can really let it rip at the ass-bomb contest in the Werksschwimmbad: Who can do it - the perfect butt bomb? Who can create the highest water fountain? Who can make the biggest wave? You compete against each other and the jury decides.

Registration for the ass-bomb contest is only possible on site on the day of the event itself - Saturday, August 23, 2025. There is no pre-registration. Of course, anyone who wants to can practise the perfect jump into the cool water in advance during the regular opening hours of the Werksschwimmbad.

Parkour summer festival: right next door!

If you prefer to live out your joy of jumping outside the water, the parkour summer festival right next door is just the thing for you: at the invitation of the AWO Essen district youth organization, real professionals will show you how to conquer the 600 m² facility with the right jumps. There is also a varied supporting program and plenty of opportunities to chill out - so come along and experience a perfect summer's day at the World Heritage Site!
