As part of the exhibition “Radical Hope: Art and Labor Struggles”:
The Ruhr region has historically been characterized by labor migration, yet the literary accounts of these migration stories often go unnoticed. Nesrin Tanç’s lecture (RUB, College UA Ruhr) explores the traces of workers’ struggles in the multilingual literature of the Ruhr region and invites the audience to discover them as part of a diverse regional culture of remembrance.
