At this year's Promenade Concert, the Stade Chamber Orchestra invites its audience to a special kind of premiere celebration.

"Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get." - The Stade Chamber Orchestra shows just how right the film character Forrest Gump is with his motto "Hollywood Promenade": Forrest Gump meets King George of England, King Louie from the Jungle Book meets the Lion King. Bears, wolves and pirates dance, and hunters of the lost treasure pass by. Beethoven and Mozart tell of determination, hope and longing.

What sounds like a "Mission Impossible" is a series of popular film scores from cinema history. Series fans will also get their money's worth here. In addition, some classical works that have achieved fame as film music in key scenes will be heard and provide the one or other "aha effect".

Because great cinema also thrives on stirring images, dance interludes by Ballettstudio off balanceto selected pieces will enrich the program and invite you to dream and sway along.
