Star Wars in Concert - Eine neue Hoffnung

For decades, the greatest science fiction saga in film history has thrilled millions of fans of all generations worldwide, not least thanks to the film music by John Williams, which is one of the most successful soundtracks in cinema history. In 2024, the mighty space epic will return to concert halls as a complete audiovisual experience.

In 'Star Wars: A New Hope', the galaxy is under the cruel rule of the Empire following the destruction of the Jedi Knights. Only a group of rebels, led by Princess Leia, succeeds in stealing the blueprints for the Death Star and throwing the Empire into turmoil. The plans reach the old Jedi knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, who takes up the fight against the Empire with his apprentice Luke Skywalker and the smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca. An adventure to the death begins, as Darth Vader is on their trail to prevent the destruction of the Death Star.

The Star Wars saga, which George Lucas thought through down to the last detail, revolutionized the Hollywood film landscape and has lost none of its fascination to this day. With its mythical story, captivating characters and groundbreaking special effects, the Star Wars saga has become an icon of American culture. Under the direction of John Jesensky, the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg performs John Williams' Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy award-winning music in the Barclays Arena, while the complete film is shown on a large screen.
