Christmas is just around the corner! And with it the definitely already traditional Christmas concert by Stefan Bauer, the Recklinghausen mallet virtuoso based in Brooklyn, New York. This time with the formation Mosaic, which will also be presenting a live CD that was also recorded at domicil in 2023 and is now being released. New on double bass with Mosaic is John Goldsby, who can be called a kind of bass legend without exaggeration. Among other things, he played with the WDR Big Band for 30 years, published several important bass schools worldwide and played with many well-known names even before his time at WDR and - interestingly enough - played rhythm section for some of the greats together with drummer Terry Clarke (including Toshiko Akiyoshi) during his time in New York! Mosaic plays Stefan Bauer's own pieces as well as arrangements from the Great American Songbook. Anyone who likes good mainstream jazz will be well catered for here!

As a warm-up, the duo Klangwelten will play a little support: Carlotta Ribbe (vibraphone) and Anne-Kathrin Barthel (vocals) have been combining their own compositions and creative arrangements to create a unique world of sound since 2022. In their special line-up, they create dialogical, atmospheric pieces between jazz, improvisation and emotional depth. Awarded the Domicil Promotion Prize 2023, the Women in Jazz Award 2025 and the [nbsp]jazz@undesigned 2025 scholarship.
