Stefan Eichner - better known as "Das Eich" - often hears these and similar questions after his concerts. It's no coincidence that the "Relaxed Franconian" is indeed a lover of the chansons of Germany's best-known singer-songwriter and has learned and refined his guitar playing largely with songs by Reinhard Mey. Now Stefan Eichner has fulfilled a wish and put together a full-length Reinhard Mey chanson stage program, which he will be performing live alongside his own music and cabaret programs from now on. Of course, like Reinhard Mey himself, without a band. Only with guitar. The artist himself describes the evening as follows: "The songs have been with me for more than half a lifetime: at home, on tour, actually all the time. Reinhard is unique, impossible to copy and that's not what this program is about.

Nor is the concert evening a "best of". Reinhard Mey has written over 500 songs in his career. An incredible achievement. Therefore, in my opinion, a compilation of, for example, the 20 greatest successes would not do justice to this achievement.

This is precisely why, in addition to classics such as "Über den Wolken" and "Gute Nacht, Freunde", there are also songs from the "second and third series", which - in my opinion - also need to be played. In numerous conversations after the concerts, visitors tell me that this is exactly what they like so much. This consistently positive feedback makes me very happy and always makes me look forward to the next concert!"
