Two extraordinary artistic positions meet at Tanzlokal: Stefanie Schrank and Frau Kraushaar create a joint concert evening between pop, art and experimental sound research.

Stefanie Schrank, Cologne-based musician and visual artist, presents songs from her current work on the album FORMA. With analog synthesizers, precise drum machine grooves and an unmistakable voice, she combines pop appeal with avant-garde openness. Her music moves between cool club aesthetics, cinematic soundscapes and catchy melodies and has often been associated with greats from Kraftwerk to Laurie Anderson - without losing her own signature.

Ms. Kraushaar complements the evening with excerpts from her art pop radio play project Gurke Kartoffel Ahnung. In eleven unconventional pieces, she creates acoustic miniatures that combine humor, philosophy and everyday observation. Her work is a poetically absurd phenomenology of the nose and opens up a playfully reflective view of the world.

A multi-layered concert experience between sound, language and conceptual art - surprising, clever and sensual.
