Stephan Schäfer, born in 1974 in Witten, worked for many years as a journalist, editor-in-chief and board member. His novel 25 letzte Sommer has been a SPIEGEL bestseller since its publication, has been translated into several languages and is being made into a movie. It also inspired him to write the successful series Das Buch, das bleibt. He lives with his family in Hamburg and on the Schlei.
