Steve McCurry is one of the most iconic photographers of our time, widely known for his unforgettable portrait of the Afghan girl.
But his work extends far beyond a single shot, unfolding over almost half a century of visual storytelling around the globe.
McCurry is a humanist through and through - he captures faces that don't just look at us, but return our gaze and hold it. His images move effortlessly between theaters of war and moments of quiet spirituality, from ancient temples to the innocence of childhood, and even to the silent poetry of animals.
ICONS brings together the most striking and recognizable images of his career. This elegant and impressive retrospective, which has already been shown in prestigious venues such as Paris, is now celebrating an extraordinary premiere in Tübingen. A rare opportunity to experience the depth, beauty and humanity of McCurry's visual language at first hand.
Price information:
Reduced prices for pupils, students, pensioners, people with severe disabilities, groups of 10 or more. Free admission for children up to the age of 10. Reduced admission for pupils and students every Tuesday 5 euros, on presentation of ID at the box office.
