"Dark Side Of The Moo"
It could have been a cold winter day or a warm summer night in Finland - but it was sometime around 2010. Someone had the idea to combine bluegrass, Finnish folk music and rock/metal. The result was Steve'n'Seagulls - the band you didn't know you missed, but definitely want to hear again. Hailing from Finland in Northern Europe, this merry bunch ride harder and faster than ever before.
In short, in 2014 the band shot three live music videos on a farm. The second video, their fresh take on the AC/DC classic Thunderstruck, took the internet by storm. Suddenly, this flock of seagulls found themselves touring around the world, recording an album and playing more intensely than ever before.
Since 2014, Steve'n'Seagulls have released four studio albums. Their debut album Farm Machine (2015) took the band to 170 shows across Europe and North America. From small clubs to the biggest festivals in Europe, they made their audiences smile and rock.
The second album Brothers in Farms (2016) further paved the way and catapulted the band to #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Charts as the first Finnish group ever. With over 130 concerts a year, they continued to tour Europe and North America and released their third album Grainsville in 2018.
Like its predecessor, Grainsville contained both rearranged classics and the Seagulls' own songs. The tour for the album took the band to three continents and over 180 shows. But once it gets going - it rolls. In 2020, Steve'n'Seagulls released their most ambitious fourth studio album to date, Another Miracle, which consists of half original songs and half newly interpreted classics. And you guessed it - as soon as the pandemic allowed it, the boys set off on tour again: through Europe, North America, South America and Australia.
All four of Steve'n'Seagulls' albums have so far reached the album charts in Finland and the Billboard Bluegrass Charts. Their music videos have garnered almost 280 million views on YouTube alone. They have played at some of the biggest festivals in the world - including Wacken Open Air, Rencontres Trans Musicales, Nova Rock, Sweden Rock and many more. In over 30 countries and on four continents, from small clubs to huge stages, they have taken their audiences on a musical journey full of good humor. And the flight continues!
This tour is something we are really looking forward to! We have some new songs coming out this year - so we can't wait to play them live for our fans in Europe in winter 2025!
