London-based Australian musician Laila Sakini steps out from behind the guise of Princess Diana of Wales. As Princess Diana of Wales, Sakini finds a contemplative and opaque downstroke.
Her otherworldly vocals translate through webs of reverb into an ephemeral style. The vocals seem to drift effortlessly, like the sound of a person coming to terms with themselves. // èvia's music has been released on Lillerne Tapes and interprets the physical and sonic effects of weather and the way it affects the environment. The window that often separates us from weather conditions is presented as a lens, mirror and frame for the evolving states between the self and the external environment.
