Straszka Pospolita [8+]

In the organizer's words:

Grupa Coincidentia [Poland]

Multilingual: In German with Polish lyrics.

"Common bugbear" - would be the literal translation of the Polish Straszka pospolita, the winter dragonfly. While this species of dragonfly is mainly found in lakes and rivers, the common scare is actually found everywhere. Sometimes they are bigger, sometimes smaller. They lie in wait for children and adults day and night. Where do they come from? How do they work? Why and what are we afraid of? These questions are raised in the performance by the group Coincidentia, which invites audience members of all ages to a strange laboratory of fear and to explore its essence together.

The performers use a wide range of expressive means, from acting, puppetry, material and visual theater to live music, embracing the piece with a large dose of humor and absurdity. It is a "funny and scary" encouragement to tame fears, which is not only aimed at the little audience members.
