sTruPpigTanZen ~ Geistæ, Dara Shikoh und Julius Ménard

The Berlin post-rock band Geistæ combines atmospheric guitar pads, dense layers of sound and emotional dynamics to create intense instrumental soundscapes. Active in Berlin since 2021, the trio moves between ambient, shoegaze and classic post-rock - sometimes fragile and floating, sometimes eruptive and powerful.

Dara Shikoh is a Pakistani artist living in Berlin. For him, music is the sacred space between language and emotion, a place where feelings have not yet been fully transformed into logic, but can still be felt. His musical journey is a process in which he embodies and expresses this space.

Julius Ménard runs the wonderful cassette label Grisaille and makes equally wonderful gitarrendrone music that doesn't fit into any pigeonhole. For the originally planned concert - which he had to cancel at short notice - a very nice release appeared on spalt-ung. And since he has nothing to do with pigeonholes (did I say that already?), he's also playing something completely different for us. Or not?
