Studienpreis 2023/24 des HGB-Freundeskreises und der Sparkasse Leipzig

HGB students from all disciplines who have not yet registered for their diploma and are not master students were once again able to apply for the 17th HGB Friends of the HGB and Sparkasse Leipzig Study Prize.
From 70 submissions, the jury selected four works, one in each subject area. The total prize money of €10,000 will be awarded to these four students so that each prize winner receives €2,000. In addition, the jury will select one of these four prize-winning positions, which will receive the opportunity to produce a publication as a special award. The production of this publication will be funded with a sum of up to €2,000.

The 2023/24 prizewinners are:
Gabriel Enrique Corredor Aristizábal (photography) -with special distinction-
Lion Mayer (book art / graphic design)
Kyuhyun Kim (painting / graphic design)
Mahshid Mahboubifar (media art)

All award-winning works will be shown in parallel to the HGB Tour from February 15, 2024 in the HGB Gallery. The Study Award exhibition is being realized this year by Aurelia Rager with the students.
