Studio 9. Der Tag mit Heidi Reichinnek. Deutschlandfunk Kultur – live aus dem Humboldt Forum
In the organizer's words:
Over a pretzel, over a chat. Deutschlandfunk Kultur invites you to a live radio show from the Humboldt Forum in Berlin. Join us as we welcome a prominent guest from the worlds of culture, science, media, or politics to the Mechanische Arena.
Together, we’ll engage in a lively discussion about the issues of our time. We’ll chat, debate, or think out loud together. Here, you’ll experience radio up close—watch the show and join in the discussion. A lively discussion on the topics of the day, broadcast across the country, produced in Berlin’s new-old center, at the Humboldt Forum.
When Heidi Reichinnek talks about her “political arm,” she’s referring to her left one. It’s adorned with a tattoo of Nefertiti wearing a gas mask; on her forearm, Rosa Luxemburg is immortalized—her great political role model. Heidi Reichinnek has been a member of the partyDie Linke since 2015. The politician’s videos reach an audience of millions on TikTok and Instagram, primarily young people.
For some, the parliamentary group chair is therefore “a member of the Bundestag and a content creator all in one.” But her party’s success in the 2025 federal election is largely attributable to Heidi Reichinnek. Friedrich Merz likely owes her something as well: his election as chancellor. After he failed to win in the first round of voting, she is said to have made a second round possible that very same day.
