Samira El Ouassil, born in Munich, author, actress, podcaster. A graduate in communication science and philosophy, she regularly writes columns for Der Spiegel, works for film and television and is active in society and politics, for example as a former candidate for chancellor of the party DIE PARTEI. El Ouassil, a multiple award-winner, was Cultural Journalist of the Year and was featured in the German press with her book Erzählende Affen. Myths, Lies, Utopias - How Stories Determine Our Lives was shortlisted for the German Non-Fiction Prize as co-author. She is also a singer in the band Kummer and a member of MENSA, the association for the gifted.
