Festive special at the GRASSI - Cinema!

Silent film musician Richard Siedhoff accompanies the short film classics (USA 1916-1927) live on the historic Welte cinema organ in the Grassi Museum. The films will be shown using historical 16mm technology.

Experience the stars of silent cartoons:
Charlie Chaplin in his early parade role as a drunken homecomer whose apartment turns into a surreal obstacle course to bed; the famous cartoon character "Felix the Cat", who has to deal with oversized germs; the comedian Harry Langdon, whose house turns into a chamber of horrors thanks to a ghoulish cook; and finally Buster Keaton in one of his most beautiful short films: a Romeo & Juliet variation with lots of slapstick in the backyard.
Humorous pearls of early film grotesque, so lively that there's not a dry eye in the house!
