Tobias Rank traveling cinema with live music
The Tobias Rank traveling cinema brings silent films with historical 16 millimeter film technology to Liebenberg and combines early film art with live music. The program includes short films by Thomas Edison and David Wark Griffith as well as Buster Keaton's film "The Three Ages" from 1923, creating a film experience that combines lightness and film history with slapstick, visual humour and subtle observation. Waltraut Elvers on the viola and Tobias Rank on the piano accompany the evening live and give the images their own sound.
