In our fast-moving times, loud sounds and violent images are foregrounded. With the SUBTIL exhibition, we want to give space to the quiet, subtle statements. This is reflected in the various artistic means and materials used.
It is about differentiation, about listening to the nuances, as well as about resistance or counter-design to the current zeitgeist, which prioritizes fast action and interprets nuances as hesitation. The exhibits, some of which are unusual, require viewers to get involved and take a close look in order to become internally active with their own interpretations.
On Sunday, July 14, 2024 17:00, an event with Dagmar Berg will take place under the motto "subtle searching". She
uses the "blackout poetry" method to enter into a dialog with the artists and their statements about their art.
