“One ticket to South Africa, please”—the desire to travel kicks in the moment you buy your movie ticket. So settle into your theater seat to experience an exciting cinematic journey through southern Africa. Independent filmmakers Silke Schranz and Christian Wüstenberg present their gripping travel documentary live in theaters. Seen on the big screen, the footage is sure to give you goosebumps!
It’s the unique perspective that sets this travel documentary apart. Moving encounters with South Africans alternate with breathtaking landscape shots and incredibly close-up wildlife sightings. The filmmakers also share countless travel tips for fans of South Africa. With ease and humor, this film effortlessly introduces the audience to this diverse and vibrant country, sparking a strong desire to discover it for themselves.
For their film, Silke Schranz and Christian Wüstenberg traveled 10,000 kilometers in a camper van, crisscrossing South Africa, Eswatini, and Lesotho. Experience South Africa as closely and intensely as if you were traveling with Silke and Christian yourself. This is made possible by the intimate, entertaining, and very personal narrative style, as the filmmakers provide live commentary on their film from the stage at the theater.
The two will be happy to answer questions from the audience during the intermission and after the presentation. Tickets for this special live film event are available now.
