Summer Special

Under the motto "Let's celebrate the summer!", the Verein Berliner Künstler
presents the group exhibition SUMMER SPECIAL, in which members of the VBK are joined by selected guests.

The exhibition is dedicated to summer as a culturally charged space of experience - between lightness and intensity,
memory and the present, the experience of nature and inner reflection.

Summer appears as a projection surface for a wide variety of meanings: as a time of heightened joie de vivre,
as a counter-image to winter dormancy, but also as a moment of condensed impressions and emotions. SUMMER SPECIAL
takes up these areas of tension and translates them into contemporary artistic positions.

Josephine Riemann (guest), Sandra Schmidt, Sabine Schneider, Helga Wagner, Gerard Waskievitz and Martin Wellmer.

The works open up different perspectives on summer - from observational nature studies and atmospheric condensation to abstract and conceptual approaches. Together they create a multi-layered panorama of summer perception.

SUMMER SPECIAL 2026 sees itself as an invitation to an interested audience to experience summer not just as a season,
but also as a cultural and emotional phenomenon.
