Summertime Blues - Sunday in the Kurpark Herchen (Windeck)

TanzBildung presents the Summertime Blues weekend: A cozy, open dance event for everyone who loves Afro-American blues!

Here you can get to know this dance for two - mindful, improvisational and as individual as the people who dance it. With its wide musical range, the blues can pick up quite a few dancing legs! The taster sessions are suitable for newcomers and experienced dancers alike; no previous experience is necessary. You can come without a dance partner; the dance couples will find each other on the dance floor and there will be a rotation.

The venue is an idyllic spa park directly on the River Sieg. The dance floor is covered and rainproof, the entire event takes place outdoors and there is a lawn for sunbathing and playing. You are not only welcome here with your own instruments or flow arts, "dance grouches" and your dog are also welcome (socially acceptable and on a lead, a shady spot and water are provided).

A drinks and snack package is included in your ticket (soft drinks, coffee, tea, water, snacks, fruit bar). At Kurpark Herchen you can also go pedal boating and play mini golf at cost price, and there is a restaurant and a cute café just around the corner. The journey from Cologne/Bonn takes about an hour and the area is also ideal for a short break. Cyclists and hikers in particular will get their money's worth here.

Procedure on Sunday

12:30 - Check-in (day ticket)
Arrival in the spa park, orientation, relaxed settling in.

12:45 p.m. - Dance walk
A joint, mindful walk through the spa gardens with music and movement. The focus is on perception, rhythm and experiencing the place.

13:15 - Taster 3: Blues dance
Another trial offer for anyone who would like to try out or deepen their knowledge of blues dancing. Open to newcomers, without previous knowledge.

14:00-18:00 - Fruity Dance
Free dancing and movement with music, a fruit bar, a place to lie down and play as well as space to relax, meet and enjoy. A gentle, communal end to the weekend.

Please note:

• It can get chilly in the valley by the river in the evening and at night.
• For safety reasons, no children or dogs are allowed on the dance stage. Parents and dog owners are solely responsible for their pets and children at the event. Thank you very much.

The weekend starts on Saturday with an extensive dance program and social dancing into the night. For experienced blues dancers, there is also a ticket for the entire weekend with high-quality workshops.
