The Danish duo Svaneborg Kardyb consists of pianist Nikolaj Svaneborg and drummer Jonas Kardyb. Their music combines Nordic jazz, folk, ambient and Scandinavian melodies to create an intimate, atmospheric sound. What begins quietly unfolds great emotional depth - minimalist, but full of warmth.
Influenced by Denmark's Højskole vocal tradition, blues and Americana, they create music that manages without words and yet connects directly. Since their debut on the renowned label Gondwana Records, they have been inspiring audiences across Europe with their moving live shows. Songs like "Freudesang" invite the audience to hum along - whether in Canada, Romania or at festivals in Germany.
Their latest album "Superkilen" (2024) deepens their characteristic sound between silence, melancholy and magical lightness.
