WerkStadt, in cooperation with the Art & Social Affairs working group, invites you to a district festival by and for Katernberg. More than 30 social organizations, local associations, cultural institutions and committed people from the district and beyond show Katernberg from its most beautiful side and transform the creek at the Freie Schule into a place to celebrate, exchange ideas and relax.

Enjoy a late summer's day with us right on our doorstep and return with fond memories: visitors can picnic on the meadow, let off steam on the parkour course, spin hot beats at the DJ workshop or win prizes at the scavenger hunt. Stroll through the small bazaar, discuss at the "democracy table" or hire bikes for a tour to the climate festival at the Carl Colliery and back again: all this is possible at the district festival by the stream. There will also be tasty treats and refreshments as well as lots of cultural activities to take part in.

In the evening, the festival ends with a live concert on the meadow while the audience enjoys non-alcoholic cocktails on deckchairs.
