Tacheles “Ritual & Rebellion” – Konzert: Ensemble of Love and Terror + foreignfire

In the second part of the Ritual & Rebellion series of events, we are devoting ourselves to Jewish contemporary art as a sound space: between ritual, experiment, memory and the present. The evening moves between concert, sound performance and performative examination of Jewish narratives, liturgical fragments and musical traditions.
foreignfire creates aesthetically powerful works in the field of tension between art and Jewish ritual. In multidisciplinary performances, foreignfire combines text, voice, movement, installation and video. Jewish biblical and liturgical narratives are not preserved as museum pieces, but are questioned as living material, broken up and translated anew into the present.
Ensemble of Love and Terror combines experimental electronics, folklore samples, accordion, percussion and idiosyncratic rhythms. In their works, they deconstruct and reinterpret musical traditions with contemporary technological means.
