Open House 2026, Bauhäusle
Hello everyone,
On Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting at 12 p.m., we’ll be opening the doors of the Bauhäusle and cordially inviting you to join us for this special day!
In addition to exciting glimpses into what is arguably Stuttgart’s most unique dormitory, a diverse program awaits you:
- Live music and speeches
- Guided tours of the house and garden
- Hands-on creative workshops
- Delicious food and refreshing drinks
A little background on us and our dorm:
Tucked away among the colossal concrete buildings of the Vaihingen campus, we’re the “slightly different dorm.”
Our story begins in 1980, when architecture students designed our home themselves and brought it to life with their own hands under the motto “Learning by Building.” Using wood and recycled materials, they created a green oasis right in the middle of campus that combines unusual shapes with plenty of coziness and quality of life.
Each new generation of residents adds its own unique touch. This makes the Bauhäusle not only an ecological pioneer project but also a vibrant social experiment and a very special community.
