Europe's largest animal shelter invites you to take a look behind the scenes. Thousands of visitors can expect a colorful program, culinary highlights and animal entertainment.

As every year, there are exciting guided tours of the animal shelter grounds with insights into our work, a huge selection of food trucks with delicious vegan/vegetarian dishes, as well as a varied stage program. Various market stalls invite you to stroll, look and store, and you can linger over delicious coffee and cake in the animal shelter café with garden. Particularly popular: the cocktail bar in the Exotenhaus with refreshing drinks. In our kids' area, our younger guests will find a large bouncy castle, face painting and much more.

Would you like to get to know everyday life at the animal shelter? Animal keepers will be happy to answer all your questions about animal care, adoption and everyday life - whether in the animal houses, at information stands or in a personal conversation.

Important: Due to limited parking facilities, we strongly advise you to travel by public transport. Free shuttle buses run between the Ahrensfelde and Hohenschönhausen S-Bahn stations.
