On Saturday, 27 September 2025, initiatives, collectives and self-organized spaces throughout Berlin will open their doors. The Open Day - Making Urban Diversity Visible invites you to shape the city together, make perspectives visible and create space for solidary, resistant and creative practices.
Because these spaces are under pressure: they are being cut back, perspectives are being suppressed. Urban practice often arises from resistance - against exclusion, displacement and an urban policy that makes spaces invisible. But it is precisely in these special places in the city - open, creative, communal - that new ideas, encounters and a sense of togetherness emerge from shared themes, desires and utopias, bringing the city to life.
The day of action is part of a two-day format that begins on Friday, September 26, with a specialist day and has a public impact in the urban space on Saturday. Why? Because we want to help decide that spaces remain and that urban diversity has a future. A city-wide intervention that aims to make our approaches visible and our voices heard.

For spaces that stay. For a city that belongs to all of us.
