On the grounds of the Federal Highway Research Institute, everything revolves around safe mobility for young and old. To mark its 75th anniversary, the BASt is opening its doors and, together with the German Road Safety Council and other partners, is showing how road safety research makes everyday life safer. Patrick Schnieder, Federal Minister of Transport, has also confirmed his attendance.
Program and offers:
- Live vehicle crash with realistic rescue operation
- Simulators to try out, e.g. car, bicycle, e-scooter, impact and rollover simulators
- Exciting demonstrations on large test facilities
- Measuring and test vehicles to look at and discover
- Insights into laboratories with hands-on demonstrations
- Fire department, THW and police activities
- Bicycle coding for theft protection (ID and proof of purchase required)
- Large children's program including a children's rally, fairytale tent, bouncy castle and painting activities
- Information on apprenticeships and career prospects
- Entertaining stage program and offers for food and drink
The venue is mostly barrier-free. The best way to get there is by public transport or bicycle. Free parking spaces are available, but limited. Dogs may be brought on a lead. Free admission. Further information at: www.bast.de/75-Jahre-TdoT
