In 2000, a piece of Gelsenkirchen history came to an end with the closure of the Hugo colliery. This history is more than 150 years old. Thanks to many volunteers, as well as private and business sponsors, the Pütt remains alive.
On this day, a mining festival is celebrated with everything that goes with it. Entertainment, refreshments and mining experiences will be provided. Mining souvenirs will be on sale. Let yourself be surprised by the many ideas on Hugo.
